If you watched our recent SolarWinds Day: Secure by Design panel discussion, you know security is a critical need for all businesses today. Secure by Design is our guiding principle for how we built our security approach, adhering to government regulations and industry expectations.

Building on this commitment, SolarWinds has been named as a supplier on the Crown Commercial Service’s (CCS’s) G-Cloud 13 framework to provide secure cloud services. As an approved supplier, public sector organizations, including the central government, charities, education, health, local authority, and blue light (police, fire, ambulance, search, and rescue) institutions, devolved administrations, and the British Overseas Territories, can more easily and quickly procure SolarWinds software.

What is G-Cloud?

G-Cloud 13, which is the most recent version of the U.K. Government digital framework, provides an online catalogue where public sector customers can buy cloud-based computing services, such as hosting, software, and cloud support. G-Cloud helps simplify the procurement processes by providing a pre-approved list of suppliers in a single online marketplace. By encouraging the strategic use of cloud technology, the framework aligns with the U.K. Government’s initiatives to support digital transformation and cloud innovation by allowing public sector buyers the ability to research and evaluate cloud computing technologies and services easily. This approach allows buyers to make informed decisions while promoting transparency and accountability in the procurement process.

Why SolarWinds

Security is paramount to every business today – but you are only as secure as your supply chain. Customers know choosing SolarWinds means choosing a partner they can trust to make improvements to serve the business long term.

“Public sector organizations are facing an array of IT challenges, including legacy technology, growing IT complexity, and tighter budgets,” said Charles Damerell, senior director of United Kingdom and Ireland (UKI) sales at SolarWinds. “Accessing SolarWinds software through CCS’s G-Cloud 13 framework will help public sector organisations advance their modernization and cloud migration initiatives while improving IT performance, availability, and security.”

Public sector organizations will be able to procure a range of SolarWinds solutions, including the following:

Crown Commercial Service recently announced it has extended G-Cloud 13 for 12 months from its original end date of November 8, 2023, to November 8, 2024. This means public sector organizations can continue to benefit from the framework’s streamlined procurement processes and buy with confidence from pre-approved suppliers like SolarWinds.
